Mumbai 'Eclipse' Premiere: One Actress Is Clearly Smitten By Rob!

Water For Elephants TN & GA: Day 1 - Director Tweets, Rob's Ice Cream Treat

UPDATE: New set pictures added! (Including a first look at Jacob's parents?!)

Dozens of  fans turned out Friday, to try and catch a glimpse of Rob at a Georgia home where part of Water for Elephants is being filmed this weekend. And the media followed.. all three area TV stations have been reporting on the production's every move.

The first one there was WRCB reporter @kayblevins3, who started tweeting filming details from the location set, even before cameras began rolling:
We think we have a Robert Pattinson sighting....dozens of people gathered outside the set for Water for Elephants in Chickamauga.

Security is tight in North Georgia today.

Film crew getting breakfast before they start shooting Water for Elephants in Chickamauga Georgia.

So many people are here to see Robert Pattinson
A little later in the morning, they gave us a preview of the scenes being shot:

Film crews just shot a scene on the property outside the family home in Chickamauga

in the scene children are playing with dolls and running around the yard.

The news director tweeted a few more details of what reportedly was filmed at that location:
Our crew on the #WFE set says film crews shot a sunrise scene where they will superimpose Reese Witherspoon on horseback later.

The station also kept fans updated online and covered it for the evening news.

WDEF also covered the Water for Elephants filming for its viewers. And there were plenty of Team Edward fans waiting for Rob. Check out their TV news report.

The county where some of the scenes are being filmed, of course is not complaining:

"You don't get any tax incentives for this, but it puts about $100,000 each day that they film into our economy," the commissioner says.

Heiskell also says it's not just about money, because when big names like Robert Pattinson come to town more than anything it means exposure.

We're told Rob waved at fans a few times. One of them shared with us what she saw:
It was probably the greatest thing that ever happened to the community. People from all walks of life came to watch this including people who were not his fans. While I watched Rob from afar it was exciting and a privilege to be at the set.
The Timesfreepress.com put together a great video report as well.

As things wrapped up at that first GA location we got one last update.. from the ice cream man:
"He's real nice, a normal person to me," Tony Gross says.

So the ice cream man made it to the set. And while we can't show you a shot of the star with his fans on Friday night. We can tell you what ice cream he picked.

"Vanilla big dipper," Gross says.

A Vanilla Big Dipper is similar to a sundae cone, some call it a nutty buddy.
Yes.. we know you want to see it..

The sweet day ended with director Francis Lawrence (@Hibbits), sharing his thoughts with fans:

Day one in TN finished. Jankowski house is done! Looked beautiful.

Oh! one last thing, in honor of Water for Elephants being released April 15, 2011.. we got together with @candykizzes24 to bring you our very own countdown widget. @H2OforElephants gave us the idea. So use it if you like it.. we're just happy to have a countdown to look forward to!

Phew.. was day 1 a trip or what?.. more to come!

Chris Cooper About Rob: "He's A Very Sweet Young Man"

Chris Cooper was interviewed by the Barnstablepatriot.com recently, and when talking about his role in Remember Me, he spoke about Rob and the constant spotlight he now lives under:

"He's a very sweet young man," he said of the Twilight star. "He's up against the kind of notoriety that's monstrous at that age. I don't know how he handles it."

Water For Elephants: We Have A Release Date! & GA, TN, Filming Buzz

UPDATE: Fans & TV crews we're up bright and early to hopefully catch some of the filming today. We'll have a wrap later.

The news we had been anxiously waiting for has arrived! Box Office Mojo reported Thursday that Water for Elephants will be released in theaters April 15, 2011. That's right, you can start planning your vacation now. What.. you're not coming to the premiere with us? ;) - Fans are more than ready to go in Tennessee and Georgia, where Rob will be filming his last scenes this weekend, before production wraps sometime next week. The media quickly picked up on the hype.

"We've got the historic train here, which has really been a draw for many years to get movies to come here. So that's a great asset that we can build on to draw more productions here," said Dave Porfiri, with Film Chattanooga.
"Chattanooga is a wonderful place to shoot because, look around you, the scenery is amazing. And we have great crews here".

From WRCB:

This from earlier in the day:
Channel 3 has learned actor Robert Pattinson will be in Chickamauga, GA and Chattanooga to film beginning and ending scenes for the film.

Based on information Channel 3 obtained from sources close to the film, Reese Witherspoon does not have any scenes planned for the area. Pattinson is expected to be in town Friday and possibly a part of Saturday.

The actors haven't even arrived yet, but Robert Pattinson could greet the rising sun Friday in Chickamauga, and possibly head to Chattanooga.
Thursday we watched tons of fans take pictures and get a glimpse of the home where Pattinson will leave his mark on North Georgia. From the antique cars, to the dated laundry hanging from clothes pins, a set for "Water for Elephants" is getting closer to completion in Chickamauga, Georgia.
And it was a dedicated fan, that sent us these following pictures from one of the sets.. as crews worked to get everything ready for filming. WTVC added some possible details about the scenes with the train:
Earlier in the day crews and stars took to the rails aboard an old steam-engine train to shoot sequences along a remote area of tracks operated by the Tennessee Valley Railroad Authority.
"Oh, it's extremely exciting, very exciting that Chickamauga has some very big names out here, it's a beautiful area, we love it out here," neighbor Shannon Pickard said.
.
Thanks! @tesslovefaith7

But who are we kidding.. we know what you *really* want to see.

Those pics are from the LA set Wednesday. Check out the rest at RPLife.

Stay tuned for updates!

Remember Me: Glamour UK's Interview With Rob

Glamour posted its interview with Rob following the release of the Remember Me DVD in the UK this week. Some of the answers are very similar to those in other interviews, but Rob did expand on some.

Q: How do you deal with fame?

A: I just try to keep working. Even ten years ago, Leonardo DiCaprio always talked about being able to take a break away from everything, but I don't think you can do that anymore. I think you need to capitalize and steer your career at the same time, because I think that, especially with a thing like Twilight, where it is literally such a huge universe…

Q: Is it a burden to you, but it opens doors?

A: It opens doors and it closes others, like anything does. You can say, 'Oh if I was still unknown, then no one would judge me', but at the same time, nobody would give a shit either (laughter). It's a weird little balance. And most of the time, you are just completely guessing what you should do, so I guess I'm just doing scripts that I think are good.
